Crane Supervisor Lifting Operations – CPCS A62

The CPCS Crane Supervisor Lifting Operations A62 Training course is designed for supervisors or Slinger Signallers who will be supervising lifting operations.
The aim of this course is to instruct delegates how to safely supervise a lifting operation to ensure compliance with the law and ensure the health and safety of all employee’s and anyone who may be affected by their actions.
The course will be set out as detailed below:

Day 1 Introductions Explanation of CPCS qualification. Legislation controlling crane operations. BS 7121 Explanation. L.O.L.E.R. Regulations in detail. Crane appreciation. Crane stability Question paper.

Day 2 Accessories. Safe slinging. Mobile crane selection Signals. Risk assessments and method statements. Question papers.

Day 3 Question papers answered. Supervise a lift scenario. Practical Induction. Candidates reply. Question paper. Course overview. Farewell.

Day 4 Assessment for A62

 
On completion of the course delegates will have sufficient knowledge to safely supervise lifting operations for mobile cranes on all construction sites.

Delegates will be advised of the managerial and practical considerations necessary in overseeing lifting operations and will be given the opportunity to put this information into practice during simulated workshop lift plan exercises in the training room.

This is a 4 day course that will prepare candidates for a CPCS A62 assessment.
